Rue Bourbon Events

Rue Bourbon Events offers a collection of private event spaces in New Orleans’ French Quarter, centred on historic rooms with views of Bourbon Street. The venues suit organisers planning corporate receptions, meetings, dinners, networking events, wedding celebrations, welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, brand activations and social gatherings. Several spaces can be booked individually or combined to create a larger event setting.

At the Old Absinthe House, the Prohibition Room pairs period details and chandeliers with a wraparound balcony overlooking Bourbon Street. It can host intimate seated occasions or cocktail receptions, and can be joined with other floors for larger celebrations. The Parlour and its adjoining Mezzanine Bar provide a more sheltered setting, with hardwood floors, a fireplace, a built-in bar and windows facing the Bienville Street courtyard. The room is suited to private meetings, wedding ceremonies and corporate dinners.

The garden-level Speakeasy offers a distinctive lounge atmosphere, with soft seating, stone floors and restored historic features. It can also be combined with the upstairs rooms, creating options for larger guest lists. Elsewhere, the Iberville Room has tall windows, polished floors and a balcony extending over Bourbon Street, making it a memorable choice for receptions and private gatherings.

Capacities vary by room and layout, from small seated groups to cocktail receptions of around 85 guests per space. Combined bookings can accommodate larger events, with the website describing arrangements for up to 300 guests. Event support includes catering, beverage packages and audiovisual options, with catering availability varying by location. Organisers can contact the events team to discuss suitable spaces and request a booking proposal.
