The Ballroom

The Ballroom is a flexible event venue in downtown Murphy, North Carolina, for organisers planning weddings, receptions, private celebrations and community gatherings. The space can host up to 100 guests and is offered as a blank canvas, allowing organisers to shape the room around their occasion, from a simple get-together to a more dressed-up celebration. Couples can also enquire about using the venue for their wedding plans, while local groups and organisations can book it for civic and other events.

The venue includes a kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove, preparation area and warming unit, as well as ice and post-event rubbish clean-up. Guests can make use of a Bluetooth sound system, a dance floor with lighting and a disco ball, making the room suitable for celebrations that include music and dancing. Public street parking is available nearby.

Bookings are arranged directly with the venue team. Organisers can request a tour, including a video-call tour, and discuss the details of their event with the coordinator. Dates are reserved for the booking rather than divided into hourly slots, giving clients access to the space for their event day. Optional in-house catering is available, with menu choices that include pasta dishes, roast beef and chicken, and prime rib dinners. The team can also discuss tablescape design for events seeking additional styling. Located on Hiwassee Street, The Ballroom offers a locally run setting for gatherings in Murphy and the surrounding area.
