Runnymede Events

Set along the Ashley River, Runnymede Events offers organisers a distinctive outdoor venue in Charleston, South Carolina. The property combines open meadows, mature trees draped with Spanish moss, magnolias and historic brick ruins, giving celebrations a strong sense of place and a naturally scenic backdrop. Guests arrive through iron gates and follow a tree-lined drive into the grounds, where the landscape opens towards the river.

The setting is particularly suited to weddings and other private celebrations, as well as events seeking a historic Lowcountry atmosphere. Couples and organisers can make use of the outdoor grounds to create an occasion shaped around the property’s lawns, oak trees, river views and architectural remnants. As daylight fades, landscape lighting adds another dimension to the grounds and their historic features.

Runnymede is approximately a 20-minute drive from downtown Charleston, offering a quieter, more secluded feel while remaining within reach of the city. Its gardens and historic character provide a memorable backdrop for ceremonies, receptions and photographs. The venue’s gallery gives planners a sense of how the grounds look during events, while the contact page invites prospective clients to share their event date and make an enquiry. Organisers can contact the team directly to discuss availability and arrangements for their celebration.
