BürgerBahnhof Vohwinkel is a cultural venue in a historic railway station building in Wuppertal. Alongside its own programme of concerts, cabaret, readings and other public events, the association also rents out its rooms to event organisers and groups. They are suitable for talks, seminars, workshops, meetings and private celebrations, for both one-off events and regular use.
A 48-square-metre foyer is available for smaller receptions or conversations. Its facilities include a bar area with a fridge, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and glasses, as well as a kettle and coffee maker. A historic railway carriage serves as a cloakroom. The 70-square-metre hall has a small stage with lighting. Upholstered chairs, folding tables, sofas and poseur tables allow for a range of seating and room layouts. A lectern, flipchart, projector and screen can be provided on request for conferences and presentations.
Depending on the layout, the hall can accommodate up to 50 people in a banquet layout, 75 in rows and 100 for a standing reception. The venue has step-free access, and the toilets are on the ground floor. Guests arrange their own food and drink, and there is a drinks supplier nearby. Good rail and bus links, parking at the station and a taxi rank make getting there easy. A guided tour of the station can be included as an additional activity on request.
