Carnegie Library Special Events

Carnegie Library Special Events offers a distinctive setting for weddings, business functions and private celebrations in the restored Carnegie Library in downtown Mishawaka. The historic building combines period character with contemporary comforts, giving organisers a memorable backdrop for gatherings of different sizes.

The venue has two principal spaces: a Grand Ballroom, suited to larger dinners and receptions, and a more intimate Fireplace Lounge with an original wood-burning fireplace and a built-in bar. The rooms can be arranged for seated meals or cocktail-style events. Tables, Chiavari chairs, linens, tableware and glassware are included, along with access to audiovisual equipment such as televisions, sound systems and wireless microphones. The venue also provides room set-up and clean-up for its own equipment.

Organisers can consider the library for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays, family reunions, anniversaries, holiday parties, fundraisers, retirement celebrations, networking events, workshops and award banquets. The team discusses the event's layout, timing and menu with each organiser, and offers in-house food and drink options through its restaurant group. Menu formats include plated meals, buffets and brunch, with preferences and dietary requirements available for discussion. Outside catering is not permitted.

Carnegie Library can accommodate up to 250 guests for a cocktail reception or 185 for a seated meal, with exact capacities depending on the room and set-up. Organisers can enquire about available dates, arrange a venue tour and discuss food and beverage minimums directly with the events team. Nearby street and lot parking is available for guests.
