Amana Performing Arts Center

Amana Performing Arts Center is a bookable performing arts and event venue in Amana, Iowa. Its spaces suit theatre performances, community gatherings, corporate functions, weddings, private parties, vendor shows and other organised events. The venue is also used by touring and local production companies, while its rental facilities give organisers several different settings to consider.

The main auditorium has a working stage and seating for up to 270 guests. It includes sound and lighting equipment, a projector screen, accessible seating and two dressing rooms behind the stage. A rear load-in area can help with production set-up. The lobby offers a separate, more informal space for gatherings of up to 100 people, with tables and chairs, a small concession area, climate control and accessible toilets.

Behind the building, the courtyard provides an outdoor option with a built-in stage, power access and a dance floor. It can accommodate more than 150 seated guests and includes a small bar area, outdoor toilets and covered access to the auditorium. This setting can work well for ceremonies, live music or celebrations that benefit from an outdoor backdrop, with an indoor space nearby.

Organisers can enquire about availability, hire options and pricing for individual spaces. The venue's mix of performance facilities, gathering areas and outdoor space makes it suitable for events with different formats, from a staged presentation to a reception or community celebration. Its location in the Amana Colonies also gives visitors a distinctive setting in Eastern Iowa.
