Die Sickingmühle in Marl rents out event spaces for weddings, private celebrations and business events. The Kornmühle can accommodate parties of up to 200 people. For smaller groups, the Papiermühle offers space for up to 50 guests. The rooms can be used for a range of events, including birthdays, anniversaries, company parties, conferences and seminars.
Depending on the room, the facilities include a projector and an audio system. The larger Kornmühle also has a lighting installation, bar counters and an outdoor area. The Papiermühle includes, among other things, a cloakroom and a separate area for a buffet. Both rooms are air-conditioned. They are on the ground floor, and an accessible toilet is available. Parking is available directly at the venue, as are charging facilities for electric vehicles.
Die Sickingmühle is particularly well suited to couples planning their wedding: a civil wedding ceremony can be held at the venue in coordination with the Marl registry office. The outdoor area is also ideal for celebrations and ceremonies surrounded by greenery. The team supports event organisers and hosts with planning their celebration and can put them in touch with other service providers, such as photographers, caterers and florists. Catering arrangements are agreed with the operator, and individual services can also be organised independently by arrangement. With its combination of rooms in different sizes, basic technical equipment and outdoor space, the venue is suitable for both festive gatherings and business events.
