Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum, I

Sacramento Valley Live Steamers Railroad Museum offers a distinctive setting for organisers planning birthday parties, school visits, company gatherings and other group occasions in Rancho Cordova, California. Set within Hagan Community Park, its facilities combine a ride-on miniature railway with a covered picnic area, giving guests a place to gather as well as an activity to enjoy together.

Private bookings include a train and operating personnel, use of the covered picnic area with tables, and access to restrooms. Train rides last around 10 to 15 minutes, and a typical two-hour party allows time for several rides alongside cake, games and other activities. Organisers can ask about adding an extra hour or an additional train for larger groups. The venue asks guests to bring their own food, drinks, decorations and party supplies, and renters are responsible for clearing up after the gathering.

The railway's unusual setting can suit children's birthdays and family celebrations, while its hands-on train experience can also add an engaging feature to school outings and company events. The museum is run by a family-oriented railway organisation devoted to preserving and sharing the history of steam railroading. On selected public ride days and during seasonal occasions, visitors can also experience the trains without a private booking.

Advance coordination is required for private events, and organisers should contact the event coordinator to discuss availability, arrangements and payment. The site is at the rear of Hagan Community Park, behind the petting barn. Food, beverages and decorations are not supplied as part of the event booking, so planners can arrange these separately to suit their group.
