Aukloster Monschau

Austraße 7, 52156 Monschau, Germany

Aukloster Monschau offers event spaces in a former Franciscan monastery in the heart of the historic old town. The complex is suitable for private celebrations, receptions, conferences, talks, concerts and exhibitions. Civil wedding ceremonies can also be held in Bürgersaal. Event planners can use the different areas individually or combine them for suitable occasions.

The Bürgersaal, which measures around 105 square metres, can be set up with theatre-style seating, conference seating or banquet tables, depending on the event. Chairs, standing tables and a grand piano are available on site. There is an audio system with connection options and wireless microphones for presentations and musical performances. Curtains can be drawn to darken the room, and the lighting can be adjusted to suit the occasion. A cloakroom and a small wash-up kitchen complete the facilities.

The historic Kreuzgang offers around 200 square metres of space and is particularly suitable for exhibitions or as an addition to receptions. Pictures can be hung from an existing rail. For outdoor events, the courtyard, which measures around 150 square metres and has a stone-tiled floor, is also available. For a civil wedding ceremony, Bürgersaal can be combined with Kreuzgang for the ceremony and a reception afterwards.

The rooms are available to rent at tiered rates, depending on the room, duration of use and occasion. Aukloster is close to Monschau's old town and is within walking distance of several multi-storey car parks. The operator is available directly to discuss specific room requirements, equipment queries and booking enquiries.
