The Lark

The Lark is an event venue in downtown Jacksonville, set inside the historic Bryan Building near James Weldon Johnson Park. Its restored 1920s character gives the space a distinctive backdrop, with exposed brick, wooden ceiling beams, antique details and wrap-around windows overlooking the park. The venue offers more than 4,000 square feet of open space, giving event planners room to shape the layout around their occasion.

The Lark welcomes weddings and receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, corporate meetings, fundraisers, private celebrations, creative workshops and pop-ups. The space can also be hired for photo and video shoots. Its open floor plan is intended to suit different event styles, and the venue does not require clients to use a fixed list of suppliers. Organisers can bring in their preferred licensed vendors, allowing them to tailor the event's food, styling and production.

Facilities include a built-in bar, a catering staging kitchen with commercial refrigeration and preparation equipment, and a VIP suite for getting ready. The rental also includes access to the lobby and a patio with string lighting, while adjustable ceiling spotlights help organisers adapt the atmosphere. The building has an accessible lift, and nearby street parking and garages provide options for guests. The venue offers half-day and full-day rentals for events, with hourly hire available for shoots. Event planners can arrange a tour and ask about dates, rental details and pricing directly with the venue.
