The Retreat at Evans Farms

Set amid the Ohio countryside in New Carlisle, The Retreat at Evans Farms offers a private setting for weddings and other gatherings. The property brings several distinct spaces together, giving organisers room to shape the event around its size and style. Couples can choose an outdoor ceremony among the farmland, a reception in the restored historic barn, or a tented celebration under the open sky. The barn also provides a characterful indoor option for dinners and dancing.

The venue is designed for celebrations of varying sizes. The barn can host a seated reception, while outdoor areas and the tented space offer options for larger guest lists. The Walba Beer Garden provides a relaxed spot for guests to gather, particularly between a ceremony and reception or for a more informal private event. Organisers can speak with the venue team about packages and arrangements suited to their plans.

On-site accommodation at the restored John Milton Farmhouse makes it possible for close family and friends to stay at the property. The farmhouse includes bedrooms, a bunk room, a kitchen and shared gathering spaces, and can also be used for pre-event preparations or smaller get-togethers. Its overnight facilities can make a wedding weekend easier to coordinate for couples and guests travelling from further away.

Although weddings are a central part of the venue's offering, the property also welcomes other private and organised gatherings. Event planners can explore the different spaces, discuss guest numbers and practical requirements, and arrange a visit before deciding which setting best suits their event.
