The Foundry

The Foundry is a warehouse-style venue in San Francisco's SoMa district, available for private and corporate events as well as concerts and shows. Set in a former industrial building dating from 1936, it combines exposed steel trusses, skylights, large windows and a concrete floor with the technical facilities needed for a range of contemporary events.

The venue has three flexible spaces: the Front Bar, the main Warehouse and an elevated Loft. They can be booked individually or combined for a full-venue event of up to 550 guests. Depending on the room and layout, organisers can plan a reception, seated dinner, theatre-style presentation, meeting, product launch, gala or live production. The Warehouse includes a stage and concert-grade sound, while the Loft can serve as a quieter area for VIP hospitality, a green room, board sessions or an intimate dinner. The Front Bar provides a dedicated place for arrivals and informal conversation.

The Foundry's team provides the venue, bar, sound and lighting infrastructure, and on-site staff. Event production for private and corporate bookings is handled with Escape the Routine, which can help develop the event plan and coordinate elements such as food, drinks, staging, furniture and technical production. Organisers can choose a broader production service or bring their own producer and arrange selected support.

The space is designed to be reconfigured for each booking, with existing furniture and sample layouts available to help with planning. Its central San Francisco location is accessible by public transport, with nearby parking options. The Foundry suits organisers seeking an adaptable setting for company gatherings, receptions, launches, dinners and entertainment-led events.
