The FUNKE Event-Center offers event spaces in the Essen media centre for businesses, associations and other event organisers. Its offering ranges from small meetings and workshops to conferences, corporate celebrations, annual general meetings and panel discussions. Hybrid and digital formats are also possible.

Several meeting and seminar rooms are available for smaller groups. The larger Jakob-Funke-Saal can be arranged flexibly and is suitable for presentations, talks, award ceremonies and networking. A stage and an LED screen support event programmes, while different seating arrangements can be adapted to suit each event. For exclusive gatherings, the FUNKE Lounge offers a setting of its own, with access to the roof terrace available on request.

The rooms are equipped with modern presentation and conference technology, including projectors or monitors, video conferencing systems and Wi-Fi. Traditional equipment such as flipcharts and pinboards is also available for workshops and meetings. Technical support and the infrastructure for streaming or hybrid events complete the facilities. A digital media staircase in the entrance area can be used to create personalised greetings.

Catering can be arranged through a catering partner. Meeting packages are available, including room hire, technology, drinks and refreshments. The team supports event planners in choosing and adapting the rooms, as well as coordinating additional services. The central location close to Essen city centre, the Berliner Platz underground station at the building and nearby parking make it easy for guests to get there.
