Solar Arts Building

Solar Arts Building offers event planners a distinctive venue in Northeast Minneapolis, set within a historic building in the city’s Arts District. The main event space is a loft-style room on the upper floor, with hardwood floors, exposed beams, brick walls and natural light. It provides a characterful backdrop for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations.

The venue can host up to 250 guests for a seated event or 350 for a mingling reception. Planners can also enquire about using the artists’ studio and cocktail lounge on the second floor, which adds another setting for guests to gather. A glass-enclosed room known as the Duluth room provides a separate area within the venue, while the outdoor deck offers additional space for ceremonies, drinks, photographs or a break outside. The deck accommodates up to 65 seated guests for a ceremony or 75 mingling guests.

Events at Solar Arts are professionally managed by Mintahoe Catering & Events, which also provides catering and service. The building’s historic details, including a rustic bar and large windows, contribute to the atmosphere, while the different spaces give organisers options for shaping the flow of an occasion. Valet parking may be available for larger events, and self-parking options are provided nearby. Event planners can contact the venue team to discuss availability, arrange a tour and explore how the space can suit their plans.
