Old Village Barn

Old Village Barn is a family-run event venue in Mechanicsville, Maryland, set on the site of a historic tobacco farm. Its weathered barn exterior retains a rural character, while the finished interior offers a bright, contemporary setting for smaller gatherings. The venue is suited to organisers looking for a distinctive space with a personal, relaxed feel rather than a large function hall.

The finished indoor area covers around 700 square feet and can host events for up to 50 people. The property also includes approximately two acres of outdoor space, which can be used for activities, fresh-air breaks or events with a tent. Organisers can enquire about the available arrangements and facilities for their event.

The barn is presented as a setting for intimate weddings, social occasions and business events. Private celebrations may include birthdays, baby and bridal showers, engagement and rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, graduations and retirement parties. For business organisers, the space can accommodate client socials, meetings and seasonal gatherings. Workshops and seminars are also part of the venue's offer, with possible themes ranging from photography and calligraphy to practical life and business skills.

With its small scale, historic setting and indoor and outdoor options, Old Village Barn is suited to planners arranging a close-knit celebration, a workshop or a modest corporate event in Southern Maryland. The owners invite prospective organisers to get in touch to discuss the space and their event plans.
