Volkshaus Döbeln is a long-established venue near the town centre, offering spaces for business, social and cultural occasions. The main hall can be used for events with up to 400 people. Partition walls make it possible to adapt it for smaller groups too. A Kaminzimmer with 40 seats is also available for smaller gatherings. This makes the venue suitable for larger conferences and corporate events, as well as school-leavers' celebrations, ballroom dance events, carnival meetings and other celebrations.

The venue also has a bowling alley with four lanes and seating for up to 25 people. It can complement an event or serve as a separate activity for groups. There is no restaurant on site. Instead, organisers can bring in external caterers and tailor the food offering to the occasion. A catering company can also be recommended if required.

The building on Burgstraße has a long history of hosting events: the present-day Volkshaus was built in 1887 and continues the social use of an earlier building on the site. In recent years, it has been renovated and modernised. Its central location in Döbeln makes it easy to travel to from the surrounding area, both by car and by train. There is a large free car park right next to the building, which is also suitable for coaches. The hall and Kaminzimmer can be enquired about through the responsible reservations office.
