Sugar Bowl Resort

Sugar Bowl Resort offers event planners a collection of alpine settings on Donner Summit, near Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Its venues suit wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, retreats, family reunions and other group celebrations. Options include the Village Lodge, Lake Mary, Royal Gorge Meadow and mountain locations such as the Mt. Disney summit deck, with indoor and outdoor spaces available depending on the event and venue.

For weddings, the resort can assist with planning the on-site experience, food and beverage service, event staff, and setting up and clearing ceremony and reception areas. Packages may include chairs, tables, an arch, linens, dinnerware and service staff, with details varying by location. Couples can also arrange a rehearsal dinner at selected resort venues and add a chairlift journey to a mountaintop cocktail hour, with food and drink options and panoramic Sierra views.

Group organisers can enquire about tailored packages combining event space, dining and accommodation. The resort describes options for meetings, presentations, private dinners and larger social gatherings, supported by its events team. Guests may stay in the historic lodge or private village homes, making it possible to bring accommodation and celebrations together in one mountain setting.

The surroundings also provide ways to build activities into a programme, including hiking, biking, paddling and boating, alongside spa and wellness options. Sugar Bowl can connect organisers with local partners for services such as flowers, cakes, music, lighting and decor rentals. Its mix of distinctive venues, lodging, dining and outdoor experiences gives planners flexibility to shape anything from a focused gathering to a multi-day celebration.
