Borden Estate

Borden Estate is a historic countryside venue in New York's Hudson Valley, offering a private setting for weddings, corporate off-sites, creative retreats and other gatherings. Its 220-acre grounds include rolling meadows, woodland, ponds, walking trails and views of the Shawangunk Ridge, giving organisers a choice of outdoor backdrops for ceremonies and group activities.

The estate combines several distinct buildings. The Marion Borden Mansion and Dutch Stone House provide historic interiors, dining and gathering spaces, while the converted barn includes a theatre suitable for meetings, performances and indoor ceremonies. The estate also offers overnight accommodation across its properties, with capacity for around 60 people. For retreats, organisers can make use of multiple meeting rooms and dining areas, with space for groups to work, spend time outdoors and stay together on site.

Weddings and other private events can be hosted on select weekends, with capacity for up to 250 guests. Larger celebrations require tents, and organisers can work with their own caterers, planners and rental suppliers. The venue provides an on-site property manager during event weekends, but event planning and production are arranged separately. Practical details such as tenting, power, portable toilets, vendor access and waste removal should be discussed when planning.
