Hangar 244

Hangar 244 is a historic venue at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, California, available for private event hire through the City of Irvine. Set within the Palm Court Arts Complex, the former military hangar retains the character of its past as part of Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, giving organisers a setting with a strong sense of place. Its scale and industrial heritage make it a distinctive choice for gatherings that need more than a conventional meeting room.

The City promotes Great Park spaces for large special events, corporate gatherings and film projects. Organisers can enquire about hiring Hangar 244, with selected rental arrangements also combining the hangar with nearby outdoor areas such as the Palm Court or promenade. These options can help create a broader event footprint, with indoor space complemented by an open-air setting. Availability and arrangements depend on the booking, so planners should contact the City to discuss their requirements and the applicable reservation process.

The hangar also sits within an active cultural campus, alongside the Great Park Gallery and Great Park Studio, with a shaded plaza and public art nearby. Exhibitions and city-wide activities may take place at the Great Park, so event organisers should check availability when planning a date. For planners seeking a characterful Irvine location for a corporate gathering, special event or production, Hangar 244 offers a historic backdrop within a larger park setting.
