The Marden House Centre

The Marden House Centre is a community venue in Calne, Wiltshire, offering rooms and outdoor space for private celebrations, weddings, meetings and group activities. Organisers can choose the Main Hall, Committee Room or Mill Race room according to the size and style of their event.

The Main Hall is suited to parties, wedding receptions, exhibitions and performances. It can accommodate up to 100 people, with a gallery that holds up to 25. Its acoustic qualities make it a useful setting for live music and other performances. For smaller gatherings, the Committee Room seats 12 in a boardroom layout or up to 30 in a more informal arrangement. The Mill Race room provides a light, spacious option for workshops and informal meetings.

A garden adjoining the Main Hall gives celebrations room to spread outdoors. It has a terrace and pergola, and can accommodate a marquee, tables and chairs, or attractions such as a bouncy castle. The venue also has a kitchen for preparing buffets and light meals, with crockery and cutlery available. Hirers can discuss using outside caterers and bringing in additional equipment.

For wedding receptions, the centre offers a package that gives couples access to all areas over a weekend, allowing time to set up and clear away. The venue provides a flexible setting for organisers who want to arrange their own decorations and suppliers. Booking enquiries can be made through the centre, and availability can be checked before choosing a date.
