The Woods Event Center & Suites

The Woods Event Center & Suites is a multi-purpose venue in Wellston, Michigan, for organisers planning weddings, business gatherings and private celebrations. Its main ballroom measures 40 by 60 feet and can be arranged for receptions, banquets, graduation parties, showers, anniversaries and corporate dinners. Tables and chairs are available, and the room is heated and air-conditioned for use throughout the year.

For wedding celebrations, the venue offers dedicated packages that can include the ballroom, an outdoor ceremony area with an arbor, a bridal suite, tables and chairs, lighting, decor and access to a commercial kitchen. Couples can choose a ready-styled space or bring their own ideas and suppliers. Small ceremonies and elopements are also catered for, with a separate outdoor ceremony option.

The property has four meeting rooms for classes, workshops, business meetings and smaller gatherings. Each room offers a substantial amount of space, with tables and chairs available and marker boards in several rooms. Organisers can also enquire about reserving multiple areas for corporate retreats, with use of spaces such as the ballroom, theatre, arcade and meeting rooms.

On-site accommodation makes it possible for wedding parties and retreat guests to stay overnight. The suites include sleeping and living areas, and the venue describes its wedding and retreat options as combining event space with accommodation and breakfast. A shared commercial kitchen is available, with cooking and serving equipment for event use. The Woods can also provide information about preferred suppliers, while allowing organisers to bring their own vendors subject to its requirements.

With indoor function rooms, an outdoor ceremony setting, meeting facilities and guest suites at one address, the venue can suit events that benefit from having both gathering space and overnight accommodation together.
