Ontario County Fair Society

Ontario County Fair Society offers event space at its fairgrounds in Canandaigua, in New York's Finger Lakes region. The grounds include several indoor buildings and outdoor facilities, giving event planners a choice of settings for gatherings of different sizes and styles.

The Carriage Barn Event Center includes an exhibit hall suited to receptions, reunions and other celebrations, as well as a separate conference room for meetings, seminars and club activities. The hall can open on several sides to create an indoor-outdoor feel. Other rentable spaces include the Mercantile Building, a multipurpose building, an indoor livestock showring and a horse arena. The grandstands and racetrack provide a larger-scale option, while Wolcott Park offers an outdoor setting with a stage.

Organisers can enquire about using the grounds for agricultural events, craft and car shows, dog shows, flea markets, auctions, rodeos, exercise classes and music events. Spaces may be hired by the hour, half day, full day or for multiple days, subject to availability. Some tables and chairs are available, and renters can arrange their own licensed caterer, subject to the society's requirements. The venue also provides limited food-preparation facilities in designated areas.

With multiple buildings, open-air areas and extensive parking, the fairgrounds can accommodate events ranging from smaller meetings to larger public gatherings. Planners can contact the society to discuss suitable spaces, dates, capacities and rental arrangements.
