Northampton Guildhall

Northampton Guildhall is a historic venue in the town centre, available to hire for weddings, private celebrations, meetings and corporate events. Its Victorian Gothic character gives the building a distinctive setting, while a choice of rooms makes it possible to host events of different sizes and styles.

The Great Hall is the largest space, with a raised stage and layouts suitable for ceremonies, receptions, banquets, presentations and larger gatherings. Other options include the Court Room, Council Chamber, Godwin Room, Jeffrey Room, Holding Room and Gallery Room. These range from intimate meeting spaces to rooms for receptions and seminars. The Guildhall Courtyard and Cloister offer an outdoor setting for selected bookings and seasonal gatherings.

For business events, available facilities include presentation and conference equipment, such as screens, projectors, microphones and flip charts. The venue team can also assist with catering arrangements and other details of a booking. Rooms are available in a range of layouts, including theatre, classroom, boardroom, banquet and standing formats, depending on the space.

Couples can enquire about ceremony and reception options, with selected rooms licensed for wedding ceremonies and arrangements available for celebrations afterwards. Private party bookings are also welcomed, with the venue providing function rooms, furniture and access to its catering and bar arrangements. Organisers can discuss room suitability, equipment and practical requirements with the Guildhall team when planning their event.
