Adams Ave. Theater

Adams Ave. Theater is a historic San Diego venue available for private hire for social, corporate and entertainment events. Set in the Normal Heights neighbourhood, the restored former cinema combines period character, including its marquee and original terrazzo, with an adaptable interior suited to a wide range of gatherings.

The venue offers around 6,100 square feet of open space, with flexible floor plans and portable bars to help organisers shape the room around their event. It can accommodate up to 287 guests and is used for weddings, community celebrations, art exhibitions, private parties, workshops, meetings, trade shows, mixers, concerts and other performances. Multi-day hire is available for suitable bookings, and daytime rentals can also be arranged.

Practical facilities include a venue manager, a movie projector and display, surround sound, wireless microphones, Wi-Fi, eight restroom stalls and accessibility features. Standard cleaning is included in the venue rental. Organisers can also ask about additional decor and event rentals, with the venue team able to connect clients with designers and other providers. Event and wedding coordination support is available to help develop the layout and bring the occasion together.

With its theatrical heritage and flexible event setup, Adams Ave. Theater offers organisers a distinctive setting for both celebratory and business occasions in San Diego. Contact the venue team to discuss dates, guest numbers, rental options and the requirements for a particular event.
