Union Pacific Dining Lodge

Union Pacific Dining Lodge is a historic event venue in West Yellowstone, Montana, available to hire for weddings, receptions, family gatherings and other celebrations. Its rustic character comes from its original timber construction, local rhyolite stonework and a striking fireplace, making it a distinctive setting for events near Yellowstone National Park.

The lodge has two main spaces that organisers can book to suit their guest numbers and plans. The Mammoth Room is the larger hall, with room for up to 300 people. The smaller Firehole Room can host up to 100 and works well for a more intimate gathering, a reception or a drinks hour. The rooms can also serve different purposes within a larger event, subject to the rental arrangement.

Renters have access to a commercial kitchen with substantial cooking, refrigeration and food-preparation facilities. Glassware, crockery, utensils, tables and chairs are also available as part of the venue hire. A separate Ready Room, renovated in 2025, gives people a place to prepare before an event. The Firehole Room includes a historic bar area, while both spaces have their own character and fireplace features.

The lodge publishes seasonal rental information and rates, with bookings generally available from mid-May through mid-October. Organisers can enquire about weekday and weekend hire, the use of individual rooms, and access to the kitchen. The venue is operated as an event space by the Yellowstone Historic Center, and its long-standing architecture provides a memorable backdrop for gatherings of different sizes.
