The Florida Room

The Florida Room is a DIY event venue in downtown New Port Richey, offering two characterful indoor rooms and access to a private backyard. Organisers can hire one room or book the full venue, then arrange their gathering to suit their own plans. The historic building, once home to the Avery Library, has original brick and stucco, timber ceilings and concrete floors, giving events a distinctive setting.

The East Room measures 1,150 square feet and accommodates around 50 people. The larger West Room covers 1,450 square feet and is listed for approximately 75 guests. Both rooms have accessible facilities, backyard access, tables and chairs, table linen, a coffee station and a Bluetooth sound system. A projector is available in each room, while kitchen facilities vary by space. The venue is not staffed throughout events, but its team is available on call.

The spaces are offered for private celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, wedding showers and intimate weddings or receptions. They can also suit dinners, fundraisers, meetings, networking events, workshops, classes, pop-ups and community gatherings. Hire options include hourly rates for classes and meetings, as well as event bookings, with the private backyard available separately. This flexible, self-directed format gives organisers room to shape the occasion, while tables, seating and basic amenities are already on site.
