Temple of Peace

The Temple of Peace is a distinctive Cardiff venue available to hire for weddings, conferences, meetings, celebrations, community gatherings and filming. Managed by the charity Cymru Global, it offers event organisers a choice of historic rooms in a striking Art Deco building in the city's civic centre. The venue's heritage features, including marble pillars and generous windows, give events a memorable setting while leaving room for organisers to shape the space to suit their plans.

The Marble Hall is the largest room, with space for up to 200 guests standing, 180 in theatre style or 160 in cabaret style. Its adaptable layout, low stage and presentation facilities can accommodate a range of gatherings, from wedding receptions and parties to talks and conferences. For smaller occasions, the wood-panelled Council Chamber can be arranged for boardroom meetings or theatre-style events. The Committee Room and a more informal meeting room offer options for smaller groups and breakout sessions.

Weddings are a dedicated part of the venue's offer. Couples can arrange a ceremony, reception or both, with the Marble Hall suited to larger celebrations and the Council Chamber offering a more intimate setting. The hall can be styled with the couple's own decorations. Reception bookings include tables, chairs, microphones and a cake table, while catering can be arranged with external suppliers.

Organisers can also enquire about projectors, screens, microphones, a lectern, flip charts, refreshments and Wi-Fi. Free viewings are available, and registered charities and non-profit organisations may request a venue-hire discount. The central location is within walking distance of Cardiff city centre and near public transport. Hire income helps support Cymru Global's work.
