Alne Village Hall

Alne Village Hall offers flexible indoor space for organisers planning private celebrations, meetings and community activities in Alne, near York. The main hall measures approximately 72 square metres and can accommodate up to 100 people using its folding chairs. Tables in a range of sizes are available, making it possible to arrange the room for different occasions, from a seated gathering to a class or social event.

The hall's well-equipped kitchen includes a large cooker, microwave and hot water heaters, as well as glasses, crockery and cutlery. A serving hatch connects the kitchen with the main hall, which is useful when refreshments or food need to be served during a booking. There is also a separate meeting room for smaller gatherings, with comfortable seating for up to eight people, a kettle, a fridge and its own toilet facilities.

The venue welcomes a varied programme of uses, including children's and adults' parties, yoga, keep-fit sessions, music and other events. Organisers can enquire about a regular booking or a one-off private event, and check availability through the online booking system. The building has been modernised over time while retaining its origins as Alne's former village school. It is now managed by a volunteer committee as a registered charity, with income from bookings and events reinvested in the hall and its upkeep.
