The Greenhouse

The Greenhouse is an event venue and creative workshop space in Ensley, Birmingham, operated by The Flourish Alabama. Organisers can rent the space for events, making it an option for gatherings that need a setting with an arts and community focus.

The venue is used for performances, concerts, poetry events, open-mic sessions, exhibitions and workshops. Its creative programme gives organisers a sense of the kinds of activities the space can host, from live showcases and spoken-word performances to community learning sessions. It also serves as a base for artist development and arts education, connecting the venue with local creative projects.

For event planners, The Greenhouse may suit a cultural event, a workshop, an artist-led gathering or a community-focused programme. The Flourish Alabama has hosted recurring showcases and open mics there, as well as events with partner organisations. The venue is also available for private event hire, so organisers can enquire about using it for their own plans rather than attending a scheduled programme.

Located at 602 19th Street in Ensley, the space is part of a wider effort to support artists and creative activity in the area. The Flourish describes The Greenhouse as a place where artists can meet, share work and develop their practice. Organisers considering the venue should contact the team directly to discuss availability, hire arrangements, room set-up and any practical requirements for their event.
