Stichting Exploitatie Gasthuiskapel

Gasthuisstraat 36, 5301 CC Zaltbommel, Netherlands

In the heart of Zaltbommel's historic town centre, the Gasthuiskapel is a characterful event venue in a building dating back to 1316. The chapel is available for hire for a wide range of gatherings and can accommodate up to 130 people, including staff. Its high ceilings and monumental interior give every gathering a distinctive atmosphere, while its distinctive acoustics also make it suitable for musical performances and cultural programmes.
Organisers can use the chapel for business meetings, presentations, conferences and workshops. Weddings, receptions, anniversaries, parties and memorial events are also possible. The Gasthuiskapel is an official wedding venue of the municipality of Zaltbommel. Depending on the occasion, the space can be arranged using the furniture available, and different layouts can be discussed.
Furniture, glassware, coffee and tea sets, and kitchen equipment are among the items available as part of the hire. Additional options include the use of a large screen, a stage and historic musical instruments. For lunch, dinner or snacks, the venue can recommend caterers in the area. You are also welcome to bring your own caterer. Additional support, such as room preparation, serving staff or cleaning, can be arranged by agreement.
The Gasthuiskapel is managed by Stichting Exploitatie Gasthuiskapel. The team discusses organisers' requirements and practical arrangements with them in advance, so the space can be prepared to suit their needs. Thanks to its central location, historic character and flexible hire options, the chapel is a distinctive choice for private celebrations as well as business and cultural events in Zaltbommel.
