The Press Room

The Press Room is a historic event venue just north of downtown Knoxville, offering flexible spaces for weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations. Its former showroom and print-shop character is reflected in the original brickwork, steel structure and broad glass frontage, while modern facilities and rows of lights create a distinctive setting for events throughout the year.

The venue has several spaces to suit different guest numbers and formats. The Assembly is the largest room, covering 10,000 square feet and accommodating up to 600 guests. For smaller meetings, workshops or board sessions, the 1923 Loft provides an 800-square-foot space for up to 30 people. The Printer's Lounge offers another intimate indoor option, while the courtyard gives organisers an outdoor area for receptions and social gatherings. The venue can also accommodate ceremonies, dinners and events with different stages or layouts.

Weddings are a key part of the offering, including ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners and related celebrations. The Press Room also welcomes corporate meetings, conferences, seminars, fundraising galas, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries and reunions. Its team works with organisers on event objectives, budgets and timings, and provides setup and breakdown. Tables, wooden cross-back chairs, flatware, glassware, chargers and china service are available as part of the venue facilities.

Food and drink can be arranged through the associated City Catering service, with options ranging from meeting refreshments and boxed lunches to brunch, hors d'oeuvres and seated dinners. With several distinct spaces, event support and indoor and outdoor settings at one Knoxville address, The Press Room can host both intimate gatherings and large celebrations.
