Acton Scott Hall

Acton Scott Hall is a historic country estate in the Shropshire Hills, offering a distinctive setting for weddings and selected private events. The Grade II* listed Elizabethan mansion sits among lawns, woodland and gardens, with views across the surrounding countryside. The Hall remains a private home, and the family limits the number of event bookings each year, giving organisers the opportunity to plan a celebration in a carefully preserved setting.

Two outdoor areas are available for wedding receptions and other occasions. The Top Lawn, in front of the Hall, suits daytime gatherings and drinks receptions, with the house and views over Wenlock Edge providing a striking backdrop. The larger Archery Ground is intended for evening events and has access to electricity and cold water. Its wooden balcony looks over the grounds, while the surrounding lawns, woodland and garden features offer varied locations for photographs. A church is within walking distance for couples planning a nearby ceremony.

The estate also offers accommodation for people attending its events and private functions. Organisers can contact the team to discuss availability, arrange a visit and explore which areas may suit their plans. Set in a rural location near Church Stretton, Acton Scott Hall provides a heritage venue option for couples and event planners seeking outdoor space and a historic country-house atmosphere.
