Charles Davis Mansion

Charles Davis Mansion is a historic Victorian venue in Shelbyville, Indiana, available for weddings and selected private events. Built in 1898 and restored with modern amenities, the Queen Anne-style home offers organisers a distinctive setting for intimate celebrations, family gatherings and corporate occasions, around 20 minutes south of Indianapolis.

The mansion has approximately 7,000 square feet across three floors, with original woodwork, period details and a collection of antiques throughout. Event spaces include the grand interiors, a wrap-around front porch and gated grounds with outdoor social areas. The property can host weddings for up to 75 guests, with traditional and themed celebrations, and offers a weekend wedding stay that lets the couple and guests enjoy the mansion over several days.

Other private-event options include family engagements and reunions, corporate-sponsored events, private group tours, filming and photography. The venue also offers murder mystery experiences for groups of 8 to 30, with organisers able to choose a do-it-yourself format or ask the team to arrange more of the experience. Overnight accommodation is available for some bookings, making it possible to combine an event with a stay at the historic property.

Event arrangements and availability are discussed directly with the mansion's team, who invite prospective clients to book a private tour. With its heritage character, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and options for both celebrations and overnight stays, Charles Davis Mansion offers event planners a memorable setting for gatherings in central Indiana.
