Peristyle

Set beside Bayou Metairie in New Orleans City Park, the Peristyle is an open-air venue for celebrations and gatherings. Its Grecian-style pavilion and colonnade give the space a distinctive architectural character, while the waterside setting offers a scenic backdrop for ceremonies, photographs and guest receptions. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests, making it a choice for both intimate occasions and larger gatherings.

The Peristyle is particularly suited to wedding ceremonies and wedding photography. Event planners can also enquire about using the pavilion for picnics, corporate events, conventions and themed parties. Its historic structure dates to 1907 and was designed by architect Paul Andry. Renovations over the years have helped maintain the pavilion, including work in 1989 and 2012.

Located within the wider park, the Peristyle offers an outdoor setting for organisers seeking a venue with a strong sense of place. Its open-air layout and architectural details can provide a memorable setting for dancing and socialising, as well as a distinctive backdrop for event photography. Organisers can submit an event enquiry through the venue's website to discuss their date, guest numbers and event type. City Park Sales handles enquiries for private and corporate events, including weddings. The venue page provides a starting point for planners considering this landmark pavilion for an upcoming New Orleans event.
