The Old Building & One80 Downtown

The Old Building is a historic event venue in downtown Berwick, Louisiana, offering indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings, celebrations and business events. The restored former grocery store combines original character, including exposed timber beams and a mezzanine, with practical facilities for hosting guests.

The venue can accommodate gatherings of up to 200 people across its reception hall, mezzanine, courtyard and outdoor grassy area. Tables and chairs are available, along with a warming area, spacious restrooms, refrigeration, an ice machine and an indoor and outdoor bar. Organisers can arrange hourly hire for smaller occasions or enquire about full-day wedding and custom packages. Additional options include decorating assistance, tablecloths, arch hire, coffee service and cake cutting.

The space is suitable for wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions and seasonal parties. Corporate organisers can also enquire about business meetings, fundraisers, luncheons, dinners, workshops and training sessions. The layout and hire options allow event planners to tailor the booking to the occasion and schedule.

Across the street, One80 Downtown offers a private lounge that can complement an event at The Old Building. It is available for cocktail hours, reception overflow, VIP gatherings, after-parties and smaller meetings, with bartender service and drink packages. Together, the two spaces give organisers the option of combining a larger celebration venue with a more intimate lounge setting. The venue is located near the Atchafalaya River in central Berwick.
