Amala Sanctuary

Amala Sanctuary is an indoor and outdoor event venue in Austin, offering a leafy setting for weddings, receptions, private celebrations and gatherings for organisations. Its grounds, shaded by mature oak trees and surrounded by gardens, provide a relaxed backdrop for ceremonies, drinks receptions and outdoor events, while indoor spaces give organisers options for dining, dancing and time together whatever the weather.

The property includes the outdoor grounds, a cottage, a studio and a loft. The studio can be used as a dance floor, and kitchens in the cottage and loft give event teams practical preparation space. Tables are available for use, while chairs can be hired. The venue can host up to 150 people for a fully outdoor wedding, with smaller guest lists also well suited to the setting. Organisers can arrange both a ceremony and reception at the venue, and a rehearsal may be scheduled in advance, subject to availability.

Amala Sanctuary welcomes a range of occasions beyond weddings, including showers, receptions, memorial gatherings, retreats, workshops and corporate events. Organisers can bring in their own caterer and other suppliers, giving them scope to shape the event around their plans. Venue hire is available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with the option to enquire about a full-weekend booking.

The venue is operated in support of the Amala Foundation. Rental proceeds help fund its youth programmes, so booking the space also contributes to the foundation's community work. Event planners can arrange a tour and discuss availability and the practical details of their event with the venue team.
