Ed's Hill Top Tent

Ed's Hill Top Tent is a countryside event venue on a family farm near Stamford, offering a sailcloth marquee and surrounding grounds for weddings, celebrations and gatherings. Set in the Gwash valley, the site gives organisers a rural setting while remaining a short drive from the town and its guest accommodation.

The marquee measures 12 by 24 metres and can accommodate up to 200 seated guests or 400 standing. For events with a dance floor and bar, the venue suggests a seated layout of around 120 guests to leave room to move and socialise. The grounds can be arranged to suit different styles of occasion, from a smaller gathering to a larger celebration, and there is parking for more than 200 cars.

The venue hire includes access to the grounds and marquee, a generator, hessian flooring and exterior festoon lighting. Organisers can also hire additional furnishings and features, including cross-back chairs, trestle tables, a dance floor, a stage, a rustic bar, decorative trees and a separate catering tent. This gives planners flexibility to shape the layout and look of the event, while using the rural landscape as a backdrop.

Weddings are a particular focus, and the venue welcomes enquiries for dates and event arrangements. The team limits the number of bookings each year and recommends summer dates, while inviting organisers to ask about other times. Guests travelling from further away can find accommodation in Stamford and the surrounding area. Ed's Hill Top Tent is suited to planners looking for a privately hired marquee setting with open-air space and optional event furnishings.
