Verity Lodge

Verity Lodge is a historic venue on Miami University's Middletown campus, available to hire for community and university gatherings. Its character and manageable size make it a practical choice for organisers planning a meeting, reception, party, shower or wedding in the area.

The lodge has two meeting rooms, a kitchen and a single-stall, unisex restroom. The rooms can be used together or arranged to suit the format of a gathering. Combined, they can accommodate up to 120 people, while the front room can seat up to 80 for a lecture-style event. Capacity depends on the layout, so organisers should confirm that their preferred set-up fits their guest numbers.

Tables, chairs and a piano are available for use. The kitchen includes a microwave, refrigerator and sink. Organisers should plan to provide any other furnishings, serving items or event equipment they need. Users are responsible for arranging the tables and chairs for their event and returning them to their original positions afterwards.

The lodge is suited to occasions that benefit from a welcoming, distinctive setting rather than a large conference complex. Its heritage is part of its appeal: the steel-framed building was originally created as a club for women employed by Armco Steel and has since become a familiar part of the Middletown campus. Event times are subject to campus availability, and bookings are made through Miami University. Organisers should check current availability, hire conditions and any arrangements needed for their event before submitting a rental request.
