The Shed

The Shed is a cultural venue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan, offering distinctive spaces for organisers planning events in New York. Its most recognisable space, The McCourt, is created when the building's movable outer shell extends over the adjoining plaza. This adaptable setting can host large gatherings, performances and receptions, with the option of an open-air configuration when the doors are open. The McCourt can accommodate a seated audience of around 1,250, making it suitable for substantial productions and guest lists.

The venue also includes gallery spaces, a theatre and the light-filled Tisch Skylights, giving event planners a choice of settings for different formats. Depending on the space and brief, organisers can consider the venue for corporate gatherings, galas, product launches, presentations, performances and receptions. The building's flexible design allows spaces to be configured for different event needs, from audience-focused programmes to more open social occasions.

Located at 545 West 30th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues, The Shed sits beside the High Line in the Hudson Yards neighbourhood. The venue has an on-site hospitality partnership, with catering and food and drink services available through its hospitality operator. Organisers can enquire about the spaces and event arrangements directly with the venue. Its combination of galleries, performance facilities and a large adaptable hall makes it a notable option for planners seeking an event setting with a strong architectural identity in Manhattan.
