The Space

The Space is a bookable event venue in downtown Westerly, Rhode Island, with two private indoor spaces that can be hired separately or combined. Its bright main room has an adaptable layout for gatherings such as birthday parties, baby and bridal showers, meetings, workshops and intimate weddings. It can accommodate around 60 to 70 guests standing or about 40 seated. For a more relaxed setting, the downstairs lounge has comfortable seating and a speakeasy-inspired feel, with capacity for around 40 standing or 30 seated. Booking both rooms gives organisers more space and flexibility for their event.

A riverside patio is available to guests using either space, providing an outdoor spot to gather and unwind. The venue offers an hourly rental arrangement, with booking minimums that vary by day. Organisers can bring their own food and drinks, select a caterer and other suppliers of their choice, and personalise the rooms for their occasion. There are no required catering partners. Optional extras include help with setup and cleanup, as well as linens, décor and serveware.

The spaces are suited to organisers looking for a private, flexible location without the formality of a large function venue. The main room and adjoining lounge offer different atmospheres, while the patio adds an outdoor element. The Space also provides a sound system for playing music from a personal device and Wi-Fi. Organisers can check availability, arrange a tour and discuss the details of their booking directly with the venue.
