Columbia Heritage Foundation inc

Columbia Heritage Foundation offers two historic event spaces at Republic Plaza in West Columbia, Texas. Heritage Hall is a former school gym dating from 1940, now available to hire for larger gatherings. Its 8,700 square feet can accommodate up to 600 people, making it suitable for celebrations, community events and other occasions that need room for a sizeable group.

The hall retains characterful features from its school days, including a wooden dance floor made from the original maple gym flooring. A portable stage can be arranged to suit different event formats, and a bridal dressing room is available. Round and oblong tables, chairs and table covers are offered, along with access to a catering centre for organisers arranging food service.

For smaller events, the adjoining Gusher Inn provides a separate 1,200-square-foot room. It offers a more intimate setting for meetings, family gatherings and other occasions where the main hall would be larger than needed. Together, the spaces can accommodate groups from around 10 people to larger events of up to 600.

Set within Republic Plaza, the venue combines practical event facilities with a link to West Columbia's local history. Organisers can contact the foundation to ask about rental arrangements for either room and discuss which space best suits their event. The foundation also works to preserve the historic site, so booking here brings guests together in a building with a strong connection to the community.
