David's Folly Farm

David's Folly Farm is a 100-acre saltwater farm on Maine's Blue Hill Peninsula, offering event organisers a rustic barn and scenic outdoor spaces for private and community gatherings. The setting combines open meadows, woodland paths and views towards Wasson Cove, giving hosts a choice of countryside and waterfront backdrops.

The ground floor of the barn measures 50 by 100 feet and can accommodate around 125 seated guests with room for a dance floor. Outside, adjoining grounds can host larger gatherings. The venue is suited to weddings and receptions, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, reunions, proms, dinners, meetings, conferences and retreats. Wedding ceremonies can be held by the water, in a meadow or in a woodland setting. Couples can also arrange a rehearsal dinner or Sunday brunch as an addition to their booking.

Included facilities feature farm tables and white metal chairs for up to 75 guests, a relaxed lounge area with vintage furnishings, indoor food preparation space for caterers, electricity for catering and entertainment, and on-site parking with attendants. The farm can recommend local caterers, bartenders, entertainers and rental providers for organisers who need additional support or equipment.

Bookings are seasonal, generally running from late May through to the end of September. Weddings typically use the property across a weekend, allowing time for delivery and set-up before the celebration and for clearing the site afterwards. The venue's open, adaptable spaces allow organisers to bring in their own decor and shape the occasion around their plans.
