SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn

SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn is an oceanfront venue in South Thomaston, Maine, for weddings, private celebrations and corporate gatherings. Set beside the St George River Estuary, the property combines an expansive post-and-beam barn with landscaped grounds, open fields and outdoor spaces overlooking the water. Organisers can plan an indoor or outdoor ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner or multi-day celebration, with the barn available throughout the year.

The venue offers space for gatherings of up to 200 guests. Full-day rentals include overnight accommodation in the guest house and seasonal glamping tents, making it possible for couples and guests to stay on site. The venue also provides tables, chairs, ceremony benches, china, stemware, cutlery, linens and event props. An equipped kitchen is available for caterers preparing and warming food, while organisers can bring in their own catering and bartending teams.

For ceremonies, the grounds include several outdoor settings and movable arbour options, with the barn providing a weather-ready alternative. The property also has a sound system, projector and screen for suitable corporate functions, as well as space for team retreats, holiday parties and appreciation dinners. Smaller celebrations can be arranged through micro-wedding and elopement packages, and the venue also welcomes memorial gatherings.

With its combination of indoor and outdoor event space, on-site amenities and lodging, SaltWater Fields gives organisers a setting for occasions that can extend beyond a single ceremony or reception. Tours are available by appointment, and the venue is reserved for private events and scheduled visits.
