The Barn in Penrose, LLC

Set among the Blue Ridge Mountains near Penrose, North Carolina, The Barn in Penrose offers a rustic, open-air setting for weddings and other gatherings. The property spans 15 acres and includes a 3,600-square-foot barn, where timber details and large roll-up glass doors let organisers shape the space around their event and the surrounding mountain views.

The barn is suited to ceremonies, receptions and celebrations, with an indoor stage and a full kitchen. Outside, a ceremony deck, arbors, lawn and fire pit provide options for vows, drinks or time together in the open air. The venue also has a dressing suite, five restrooms and on-site parking. Tables, chairs, ceremony benches, props, firewood and propane heaters are available to help with practical arrangements. Organisers can also plan for food trucks, with two designated spaces on site.

Weddings are a particular focus, while the property also welcomes family reunions, corporate retreats, concerts, classes and other occasions. The combination of indoor and outdoor areas gives planners room to arrange different parts of a gathering in distinct settings, from a ceremony on the deck to an evening celebration in the barn.

On-site accommodation can be booked alongside the venue, making it possible for guests to stay close to the event. Lodging options include larger homes, cottages and camping cabins. The grounds also offer access to a gym and barrel sauna. Located within reach of DuPont State Recreational Forest, Pisgah National Forest and Brevard, the venue can serve as a destination for multi-day gatherings as well as single-day celebrations. All-inclusive venue and lodging packages are available.
