The Baker Building

The Baker Building is a historic event venue in North Portland, offering two distinct spaces for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. Its upstairs ballroom has original architectural details, hardwood flooring and room for events of up to 120 guests. For smaller gatherings, Suite B is on the ground floor and can accommodate up to 78 standing guests or 50 seated. The spaces can be hired separately or together, giving event planners options for different group sizes and event formats.

Venue hire includes tables and chairs, with a sound system, wireless microphones and projection equipment available for presentations and entertainment. The team can provide sample floor plans and guidance on practical arrangements, and the ballroom rental includes a private suite and access to a warming kitchen. Suite B is fully accessible, while the upstairs ballroom is reached by stairs and has no lift. Nearby off-street parking is available.

Couples can use the building for ceremonies and receptions, with time for a rehearsal or pre-event walkthrough subject to availability. An open vendor policy lets organisers choose their own caterers, florists and other suppliers. The venue also offers in-house bar service, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
