Old Billingsgate

Set beside the River Thames in the City of London, Old Billingsgate is a historic venue available for hire for private and corporate events. The former Victorian fish market combines distinctive period architecture with flexible spaces and modern event facilities, making it suitable for both large-scale productions and more intimate gatherings.

The venue offers three principal spaces: the Grand Hall, the Gallery and the Vault. The Grand Hall is the largest, with a triple-height ceiling, a mezzanine and extensive room for dinners, receptions, conferences, fashion shows and exhibitions. The Gallery provides a lighter setting for launches, conferences and fashion events, with breakout rooms and space for a reception or VIP area. Below ground, the brickwork and vaulted ceilings of the Vault create a contrasting backdrop for dinners, parties, conferences and filming. The Well, a separate area within the Vault, can provide a distinct space for entertainment or dancing.

Each space can be hired individually or combined, allowing organisers to shape the layout around their programme. The riverside terrace adds an outdoor setting for drinks receptions and welcomes, with views across the Thames towards notable London landmarks. The venue also has in-house lighting, sound and production infrastructure, and works with accredited suppliers, including caterers and draping specialists.

Old Billingsgate hosts weddings as well as award ceremonies, gala dinners, product launches, exhibitions, conferences and private celebrations. Its central location is accessible by Underground, rail, bus and river services, giving event planners a prominent London setting with several distinct spaces under one roof.
