The Historic de Witt Cottage

The Historic de Witt Cottage offers a distinctive setting for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations on the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Built in 1895, the cottage brings historic character to gatherings, while its position near the beach and boardwalk gives guests a memorable coastal backdrop. Landscaped gardens and outdoor grounds add space for welcoming guests, photographs and time together beyond the house itself.

Organisers can enquire about hosting a range of occasions, including wedding celebrations, anniversaries, retirement parties and corporate events. The venue's heritage setting provides an alternative to a conventional hotel or function room, with period character and views towards the Atlantic. Its location on Atlantic Avenue also places it close to the beach and the attractions of the oceanfront.

The cottage is also home to the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum, which preserves and presents local wildfowl art, carvings and Virginia Beach history. This cultural connection gives the property a strong sense of place and makes it an appealing choice for organisers seeking a venue with a story behind it. Event enquiries can be made directly to the venue rental coordinator, and prospective organisers can arrange a consultation or tour to discuss their plans. Whether the occasion is an intimate celebration or a business gathering, de Witt Cottage offers a historic coastal setting for bringing guests together.
