The Charleston

The Charleston is a historic event venue in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky, offering a distinctive setting for weddings, receptions and other private gatherings. Its character comes from the building's traditional details, including exposed brick, original timber flooring, skylights, chandeliers and a sweeping staircase. These features give organisers an attractive backdrop for ceremonies, photographs, dinners and celebrations without requiring the room to be transformed with extensive decoration.

The venue has dedicated spaces for the couple to prepare before the occasion, with a bride's suite and a separate groom's flat. This arrangement gives wedding parties room to get ready on site and provides a convenient base throughout the day. The Charleston is also presented as a location for reunions, receptions and other occasions, making it suitable for hosts seeking a private venue for guests to gather and celebrate.

Event arrangements can include ceremony and reception use, seating, built-in lighting and audio, and bar service options. Organisers can discuss the event format and the practical details directly with the venue team, including how the spaces can be used and what arrangements are available for their date. Outside catering is listed as an option, so organisers may be able to work with their chosen food provider.

Located on College Street in the city centre, The Charleston combines a characterful indoor setting with dedicated preparation rooms and event facilities. It is a venue option for couples and hosts looking for a historic-feeling space in Bowling Green for a wedding or celebration.
