Shady Springs Party Barn

Shady Springs Party Barn is a family-run private event venue set across 20 acres in south-east Austin. Its combination of open lawns, mature pecan trees and rustic covered spaces gives event planners room to shape everything from a company picnic to a relaxed wedding reception or family celebration.

The venue’s facilities include a dance hall with a stage, bar area and concrete dance floor, alongside a screened pavilion and covered patio. Together, these provide around 5,000 square feet of sheltered space. Outdoors, guests can make use of picnic tables, a large swimming pool with a lifeguard during events, children’s wading pools, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes and a field for games. Parking is available on site, with additional space for larger gatherings.

Company picnics have long been a popular choice, and the property also welcomes birthday parties, reunions, graduations, retirement celebrations, holiday gatherings and weddings. Couples can use the grounds or barn for ceremonies and receptions, with a flexible, informal setting suited to DIY plans. The venue can also work for dance parties, film-wrap events and other private occasions.

Organisers can arrange their own food, including self-contained caterers and food trucks, and may bring in approved entertainment and activities. Shady Springs provides the space and listed amenities rather than a full-service event package, so planners should organise suppliers, serving items and any extra equipment themselves. Events are booked for private daytime use, with details and availability discussed directly with the venue.
