In De Ruimte

Oudegracht aan de Werf 230, 3511 NT Utrecht, Netherlands

In De Ruimte is a unique event venue on Utrecht's Oudegracht, set in historic wharf cellars and a former monastery vault. The spaces combine distinctive features, such as high ceilings and monumental arches, with modern comfort. Organisers can host meetings, training sessions, workshops, team days, gatherings, drinks receptions and dinners here.

The venue comprises several spaces, each with its own atmosphere. The large space covers 230 m² and can be combined with an adjoining 42 m² side room. There is also a wharf room with its own bar, where the wharf doors can be opened in good weather to enjoy views of the water. The bright TFF*WAT room has its own entrance and can be connected to the wharf room. This gives you the choice of an intimate setting or several spaces for a varied event.

Facilities include high-speed internet, underfloor heating and options for audiovisual equipment, such as a projector and sound system. Flipcharts and other practical requirements can be discussed when making an enquiry. Catering is also available: local caterers can provide lunch, sweet treats, drinks reception snacks and dinners. The venue is in the centre of Utrecht, within walking distance of Utrecht Centraal and close to a car park.

The venue's hire supports In De Ruimte's social, cultural and sustainable mission. By organising an event here, clients contribute to initiatives that reflect these values. This makes the venue a good choice for organisers looking for a central location with historic character, flexible options and a focus on social impact.
